William (Bill) Christian Sellmer II, CMM, CIS is owner and president of SMI, and has over 35 years experience in the incentive travel industry, designing and operating performance incentive programs. Bill is a Certified Global Meeting Manager, the highest certification by MPI (Meeting Planners International).
Bill is a 25-year+ member of SITE (Society of Incentive Travel Excellence), a Certified Incentive Specialist, and a member of the CIS faculty. Bill has worked with customers in a variety of industries and operated travel programs in over 40 countries at all types of destinations. Bill has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major World Geography and a minor in Economics. Prior to his work in the Incentive Travel Industry Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps 10 years and worked in corporate America for 10 years.
Holly Bailey, CIS Planner/Operations Manager has 15+ years of experience in the incentive travel industry, designing and operating travel programs in five continents with varied types of destinations all with a standard of excellence. Holly has a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in International Business and Spanish, and a Masters degree in University Administration.
Ashley Nelson, CIS National Sales Manager has 27 years experience in the incentive travel industry. Ashley has operated programs on five continents, and serviced customers in a variety of industries. Ashley has an integral part in identifying customer goals and objectives, program design and development, along with extensive program operational management. Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German.
Mae Catherine (Cathy) Watkins, CIS Planner/Operations Manager has over 22 years experience in the incentive travel industry as a Planner/Operations manager. Prior to Cathy’s career in incentive travel, she was the Lead Customer Service Manager and Trainer for Citicorp. Cathy has planned and operated incentive travel programs for customers in a variety of industries on five continents with a standard of excellence.
Kevin Watkins is SMI’s Revenue Manager with the primary responsibility of managing customer deposits and supplier payments, as well as SMI’s human resource administration. Kevin works with and supports SMI’s Planner/Operation Managers to insure timely and accurate accounting of program management. Kevin holds a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Accounting.
Katherine Hedrick, CIS Planner/Operations Manager has over 25 years of diverse experience in Project Management, Account Management and Customer Service for large corporations. Prior to joining SMI in 2016, Katherine traveled extensively all over the U.S., including guiding individuals throughout southwest National Parks, such as Zion, Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Katherine now focuses on designing, planning and operating exciting incentive programs all over the world with great success. Coming from a creative education in commercial art and graphic design, Katherine also is designated as the company photographer.
